A lid with a little life.
Boot, sleep and wake are part of the experience. Display above the fold; keyboard and trackpad below. The same little computer stays with you when opened flat.

A-01 Personal Computer · Fictional hardware, real ideas.
Small machine. Room to think.
Boot, sleep and wake are part of the experience. Display above the fold; keyboard and trackpad below. The same little computer stays with you when opened flat.
Write a note, work out a sum, paint, play the Studio, or use the terminal. Your work stays on your device. Share it when you want.
A deliberately simple browser inside the desktop. One window, an address, and somewhere to look something up.
The fictional company archive
A-01 Personal Computer
Bone casing. A desktop with a dock and a menu bar. A keyboard you want to touch.
Telescreen S-84
A colder, command-first character from the same imaginary maker. Olive enamel, amber phosphor and a terminal-first view of the same personal disk.
W-77 Writer
Teal enamel. Ivory keys. A quiet paper screen. A writing machine with a word count and your own local disk.
G-96 Workstation
Grey plastic, a teal desktop, little windows and original pixel icons. Files, Notes, Sheets and a Programs menu.
M-84 Compact
Beige and one bit deep. A dithered desktop, a pixel face and a cruder little chip in the Studio.
P-93 Organiser
A monochrome LCD and one program at a time on the F-keys: agenda, notes, tasks, calc, clock and terminal.
X-27 Flight Deck
Graphite, backlit keys, heads-up windows and a mission clock.
Your disk is yours
Local writing stays in the app until you choose to share it. Delete moves it to the Trash until you empty it. Websites receive your browsing requests; they don’t get access to your notes.
Ask and the writing help use Apple’s on-device model: your words are processed on your device and are not sent to us. No accounts, no analytics, no ads.
Computerling runs on iPhone and iPad, where the keyboard slides up when you type. On a folding iPhone it opens like a laptop and reads the real hinge.
